The D West Tough Love Academy should be a parent’s last resort.

This program is not recommended for all children and families. Nor should it be used as a long term solution or as a tactic to frighten your child. We highly recommend that parents seek professional advice, support and family counseling before attempting to enroll your children into The D West Tough Love Academy.

Parents, if you feel that you are at the end of the road or totally overwhelmed and emotional distraught from your out of control child’s habitual unruly behavior, pick up the phone and call your local and state Juvenile Justice Office and Municipal Court House for advice and crisis management support: we also recommend that you immediately visit several police departments in your area. Ask the Chief of Police at the police department if he or she has a viable behavior modification program in place for children who are unruly and out of control. If they don’t have such a program, ask the Chief if he or she can refer you to several institutes or programs that can help you and your child.

Some of the most conducive alternative programs which facilitate resolve for children with behavior problems are community based leadership and character development programs. Call every youth leadership program, character development program, life skills program, career development program, sports and recreational program, art and music program and big buddy mentoring programs in your area. Leave no stone unturned. Try practically every crisis management resource and community based alternative program imaginable before calling The D West Tough Love Academy. Parents, please call us only after you have exhausted all of the viable family crisis intervention alternatives afforded to your child in the community. We have a youth leadership academy, try that alternative first.

D. West wrote an innovative behavior modification and character education teacher’s resource book “The Navigator.” Children in grades one to twelve learn valuable life skill lessons from the Navigator. As a part of this instructional learning tool, cadets view a thirty minute (Navigator) DVD. The program teaches character education and shows riveting stories of prison inmates’ poor choices. It sends a powerful message to youth, there are serious consequences associated with their actions. We creatively blend D. West’s
personal success story and character educational themes and parallel them with personal stories from male and female prison inmates that have made poor choices and decisions that resulted in jail sentences. Inmates discuss drug abuse, criminal acts and prison life. They explain the poor choices they made as children that led to failure and warn youth not to make the same mistakes they made because they will face the consequences, jail time and possible life sentences. The Navigator has a powerful message of leadership advice from a renowned motivational leader and nationally acclaimed TV star. Divert your child away from negative thinking, negative behavior, wanton lifestyles, poor choice and decisions in life.

D. West speaks to parents and children for two hours in a small group setting. There is one hour of pure motivational guidance and one hour of question and answers with D. West. Every family receives an opportunity to address a question with D. West. The group size is limited to a maximum audience size of fifty people.
